This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm considering buying a Dell e1705 for college. (I've been browsing the forums for a while now, great info!) Right now, there's the free 2gb deal and I have the 35% off EPP coupon. Although the coupon isn't really supposed to work with the free 2 gigs, I have a friend who called and ordered and got it to work. I was wondering if I should hop on this deal now, or will Dell have better back to school deals later this month?
    I want to wait for Merom, but if it comes out at the end of August I may already be in college.
