Dell is supossed to be not using as many coupons as before. Check th deals section on the front page. If there are any, they'll be listed there.

Best way to get a ThinkPad cheap is to know someone who works there. They have a friends and family program for employees. They do on occasion have sales, but not in the same range as Dell for Pentium M. They also have Credit Card and Student/Alumni discounts. You could get a R or Z series with a Celeron. If you are plugged in most of the time, the not as good battery life with the Celeron won't matter. Will work well for surfing or office.

I am seriously thinking of purchasing a Dell Inspiron 6000, and was so happy to find the coupons provided/listed at this site.

It is a 25% off coupon for Inspirons $999 and above. I tried the coupon at both the Dell Home and Business stores, but with each one, it gives me a reply that says "The following coupon have been eneterd, but require additional info or do not meet eligibility requirements."

I tried this coupon for the Inspiron 9300 and the 6000 models, both having a total price exceeding $1100+...but the coupon can't seem to be applied.

Are there specific models it applies to? Do I need to do anything additional or different to use the coupons, aside from what was recommended? I hope someone can help me, since that discount will sure be a great help...and it expires on the 13th of October!

    Thanks in advance!

If you want coupons, go to gotapex.com for the latest! They often get coupon codes directly from Dell first. Don't worry about expiration dates, since Dell comes out with new coupons every week. Also, since they expire after 4000 uses, you have to jump on them when they come out every Thursday.

The Inspiron 6000 is a great computer! I got mine for cheap: $1050 before tax/shipping with the 30% off $1499+ coupon, plus other deals. It retails for almost $1700.

    Specs:
    Intel PM 740 1.73ghz
    15.4" WSXGA+ (UltraSharp)
    512 MB RAM
    80GB HD
    8x DVD-RW burner
    64MB ATI X300 Video Card
    Intel PRO2200 wireless card
    2-yr warranty
    MS Works

You might eventually get a better deal than this, but Dell's profits have been slipping, so you probably won't see the $750 or 45% off coupons like in the good old days.

If you want the base one, it probably won't get much better than $649. A couple of weeks back it was $549 after rebate. Dell's probably about to come out soon with a replacement for the 6000, but they haven't been posting good profits, so their discounts for the time being probably won't be as sweet.
