This configuration of the Latitude E5400 starts at $800 (after $492 discount) from the DELL Small Business site. The $800 base price includes the following specs-

    DELL Latitude E5400 14.1"
Windows Vista Business with XP Pro downgrade
    2.0GHz Intel T7250
    14.1" WXGA 1280x800 LCD
    Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics
    2GB DDR2-800
    160GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
    Dell Touchpad
    DVD RW
    Dell 1397-G wireless
    6-cell Battery
AND 3-Year Limited Warranty with Next Business Day On-Site Service

***I added the following options- 2.26GHz Intel P8400, Trackstick, 250GB 5400rpm HD and Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN and the total still only comes to $1038!

Here's how to get this price,

1- This links you to the three base configurations of the E5400- http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/laptop_latitude_e5400?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd
2- There will be three configurations to choose from, select the third one showing a total of $929 by clicking on the green XP for FREE button.
3- Locate the five tabs numbered and labeled- Build My Dell, Accessories.....
    4- Click the 'Accessories' tab
5- Scroll down the page until you see 'Docking Solutions'
6- The second item should be checked in that box, UNCHECK the box- which removes this $129 item from your configuration and reduces the starting price to $800.
7- Return to the first tab and "Build My Dell"!

It is a docking station that was bundled with this particular configuration. However, when a selection allows you to un-check the box and remove the item, it obviously isn't required to get lowest price. Removing the $129 docking station changes the Retail Price, but not the Discount.
