Newegg just sent out a promo email and I thought this deal looked pretty hot.

From what I understand, it's basically a 1.8" version of the Intel 2.5" drive and it comes with an adapter to use it as a 2.5" drive and also an external enclosure for your old hard drive. If this is wrong, someone please correct me. I'd love to pick this up but I just got the kingston 40GB ssd for $85AR. But this seems like a great deal for someone that wants a bigger Intel based SSD.

They're probably clearing out the old stock of X18-M G1s...

I can help you with your 40GB problem. ;)

BTW, how does the X-18 compare to the X-25? I mean, I think 18 means 1.8", and 25 means 2.5". Does the form factor affect performance?

I'm in the same boat as you. FUD is such a horrible thing. The reply on your other post confirms it.

This deal will probably be gone by sun up today.
