    Not since the 0002 firmware was released a while back. Most, if not all, M4s you buy now should have that firmware out of the box.

    this sucks. went on sale the day before i'm supposed to buy a 64 gig x25e. but the x25e has the advantage of almost full speed still when full. and thanks mod for linking deal.

    I don't believe the M4s have any issue keeping their speed when full either.

    i couldn't find any evidence of that. some drives will some performance but be decent if they're overprivisioned. i don't know if the m4's are. the x25e i know for sure can handle being full because my 32gig showed me that.
