Picked up one of these for my wife to use with her corporate issued brick, IBM T42, as she is always complaining about how hot it is. I figured it was worth a try at $9,99. Also, found a code for 6 free LCD wipes and 6 free keyboard wipes on their blog: freecleaningsupplies.

    Coupon Code #1: BEATTHEHEAT
    Coupon Code #2: FREECLEANINGSUPPLIES

    Description:

Order our new CoolGuard Ice Notebook Cooling Pad for $9.99 when you use the $30 off coupon code, BEATTHEHEAT. CoolGuard is our newest brand and it includes a novel line of laptop cooling pads. The CoolGuard Ice Notebook Cooling Pad shields your lap and office furniture from the high heat generated by today's laptops. A crystalline compound, which is cool at room temperature, absorbs the heat generated by your laptop, keeping the device running cool and protecting you from excessive heat. The CoolGuard Ice Notebook Cooling Pad is highly portable, foldable, silent, does not require power, unlike other cooling pads, and helps extend your battery life by managing heat distribution. After 2-3 hours of use the crystalline compound will turn into a gel and once the heat source is removed, the gel turns back into crystals and is ready for use again. Please click here to order your own CoolGuard Ice Notebook Cooling Pad. Promotion valid for first 1,000 orders.

Sweet deal. Just picked up one of these for my GF. Be nice if the cheapest shipping method wasn't $10. $21 total.

So this is basically a sort of pillow with a cooling effect? I first thought it's a cooling pad with a fan.

My wife got hers and she is a fan of the product. It is cold at room temp and it doesn't have a fan inside. It is sorta like an ice pack that you can reuse and not have to put in the freezer. I think it is cool but too big to use with my S10 netbook.
