Bought myself one. Luckily I didn't buy it a few weeks ago at full price!

What do you guys think of this ebay page? Customized it to 16GB USB flash drives between $10 and $20, 200+ hits:

    http://shop.ebay.com/items/__usb-fl...=p3286.c0.m282&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=10&_udhi=20

Hope they're as good as the Corsair...most from China =/ but sort by nearest distance and you got many USA ones, all under $20

    http://cgi.ebay.com/16GB-PEN-THUMB-...3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:4|65:7|39:1|240:1318

That one is nice, well worth the extra $3 to get it from the US and no need for mail in rebate.

I tried one of those leather ones before...too good to be true as always.
Generally those are drives with lower capacity, like 2gb or 4gb that have
been modified to show up as 16gb or higher when plugged in. If you actually
tried to move a file that big onto there, you'll probably see that you'll get
errors and slow transfer speeds. Ended up getting my seller to refund me fully
    and got a free crappy/slow/defective 2gb drive.

Those aren't very trustworthy. No brand, from china, I just wouldn't trust, even though i am full-blooded Chinese.

Who knows, they might break down easily, have bad read/write speeds, not actually have 16gb... most of those sold are to the normal consumer who unknowingly think he's come into a good deal.

Hmm, if you try to transfer files sometimes greater than 4GB, you can't do it for drives that havent been formatted to NTFS. I had this problem with my flash drive and I thought I was ripped until I just reformatted it (somehow data still maintained).

    What about the US ones?

There are scammers in US too. Just go with actual brands that give great deals, like this one.

Yeah most likely mail in rebate with Corsair better than file a report to ebay. I'm about to pull the trigger on this deal then...my iPod is only 30GB and cant hold anymore files.

    Taken from user reviews:

"Cons: The rebate takes 2 months if not 3 months depending on how long you wait from the order date."

just to note, did a reformat to ntfs before on it and all that did was give me false hope for a second since I could move large files on there but still couldn't
read them back anyways, just stick with the branded drives for now :)

Hmm, any online sites participating in cyber monday (or black friday) with super cheap high density flash drives? That would be awesome :D
