Asus G73JH-A1 or A2 @ TigerDirect w/ 15% bing cashback!

TigerDirect has started offering the A1 & A2 now. Originally it was only the X3. Currently the 15% bing cashback is not showing for the X3, so I'm not sure about that, but it works fine for the A1 and A2.

Don't miss it!

For the past couple of weeks it was 12.3% cashback, then 8.5% for a couple of days, now it's back up to 15%!

To use bing, search laptops and there should be TigerDirect on the right (it looks like ads). If it's not there, refresh until it is.

 

And I can confirm 15% works, just bought the A2 since my x3 was having problems and is going back.

I had bought the x3 back with 12.3% at $1550. Now with 15%, the A2 comes out to be 1360 the same as the x3 after bing. So I'm pretty happy my x3 screwed up now.

X3 = 2x320gb 7200rpm HDDs, no backpack or mouse

A2= 2x500gb 7200rpm HDDs With backpack and mouse

A1 = same as A2 but with a blueray player.


A2 is the best for the price ATM, if X3 would have had 15%, that would be a bit better. But overall, A2 comes out to be cheapest after Bing.

Oh and I wouldnt sit on this too long, doubt 15% will last and or the A1/A2s will sell out.

Lastly, Tiger Direct was really good about my x3 RMA, I told them my troubles and they emailed me a UPS shipping label along with saying I will get a full refund. It was about as easy as it gets. So TD gets thumbs up for CS.

i bought the a2 on sunday when it was order today ships today status. its been "in process" since monday and it still hasn't shipped yet. i have a bad feeling, anyone order and get it?

 

The A2 should be out of stock now(meaning even those who ordered it when it was in stock is out for them). Someone else just got his order upgraded to a A1 because they did the same to him.

I'd call TD and check up, mine finally shipped out late monday, but I'd think if you havent gotten a shipping number by now. You prob wont be getting one until the next shipment comes.

 

I'm that person btw. I ordered mine late night Friday and got hit with credit card processing. They told me my order was on hold until I called in to confirm. The hours said Mon-Fri, so I called mon morning. My order was being processed for a while and I decided to call. They said that it was on backorder and they wouldn't have any for a while.

So I asked if I could change to a similar model that is ready to ship, at least according to the website it says Order Today, Ships Today. They did it, but now my order status is All Backordered, which to me seems worse than processing. The guy I talked to says it should ship by tomorrow, so I'm going to see if it is so and I'm going to call them again.

 

Oops, forgot you were the TC too, wasnt paying attention .

But yeah really hope urs ships out tomorrow. Their site still says the A1s are in stock.

Only downside is, I didnt realize you were in San Diego, even if they ship it tomorrow, I think the earliest you'd get it is monday. I know from IL to TX it takes 2days. But I'm sure all the way to cali would be about one more day. This all being of course your shipping method was ground.

 

I had a very strange experience with TD with my order last week...
Ordered 3 items, the 3rd item was a simple, inexpensive DVD burner. For some reason, maybe because I placed the order on Friday or the warehouse worker thought he was being funny, they shipped me 2 random metal prongs instead.
After waiting 1 week for my shipment to arrive, I was obviously confused and annoyed. I called TD and explained this to them. Customer service was somewhat helpful... they are shipping me the correct item. However, I asked them to expedite the order, since it was their eff up and I needed the parts yesterday. They promised they'd at least ship it 3 day air. Whaddya know... I checked the shipping status yesterday and it is 5 day ground Not to mention I lose BCB and it doesn't apply to the new order.

 

they told me it was sitting in the warehouse, packaged up and ready to go. they even told me they had a tracking number, but it wasnt active yet. i asked for the number twice and they tgave me the same number twice. so are they lying to me and just stalling or what?

 

The tracking # should be real. It won't be active till the first scan by the UPS/Fed-Ex driver.

Tracking number can be real, but I think sometimes it gets messed up randomly.

My first tracking number for my A2 was and still is invalid. Yet when I got a shipping confirm number, it gave me 2 different numbers. Finally the second one works fine.

So I dunno why the first one got messed up, but that's still the main on their site. I just saved the other tracking number and check on it once in a while. Like right now it's still in transit to TX. But should be here anytime now since the expected delivery date is tomorrow the 13th.

but its still "in process" and the tracking number i cant do aynthign with cause usps doesnt even have the package yet. its still sitting in the warehouse. the guy i talked to on the phone said he had to do a physical pull or something.

 

So here is some real BS from TD

Ok i ordered the A1 on wednesday 5/12 at around 1 pm. i got a confirmatin e-mail but the next morning 5/13 there was no shipping tracking number. so i called and they said oh yeah we are in stock and will make sure that the warehouse ships it out today (wanted it by friday).

so a guy at work asks me "hey i need a gaming laptop. what would you recommend?" and i say i just bought asus g73-a1 from TD so he orders it tursday at noon (12/14).

Today (12/15) he tells me ya my order shipped and will be delivered on monday. i call them and they tell me my order is backordered and they probably arent going to get any more in. I tell them "well go to the warehouse and don't ship one out that was ordered after mine" of course they can't do that.


so now my buddy can tell me how awesome the laptop is and im Effed. Did anyone else have this prob???

 

you think you got it bad? they told me they shipped it and gave me a tracking number. like three days after, they issued a return on the item cause ups lost it or something. now they give me a new order, mess up my bing cashback, and i am now back ordered. tigerdirect is giving me a lot of trouble

 

ITS BACK IN STOCK !! GET IT WHILE YOU CAN.

I have been stalking this thing for like 2-3 weeks. They finally have them back in stock, get one now while you still can!!

Sure its 12% bing cash back instead of 15% , but since bing cash back is dieing in the next 45 days or less, you probably will never get this kind of deal again!!

Already bought mine this morning !!
