I totally JUST missed it because they ran out on stock (supposedly). Im gona get a dv6500, and 30% off would kill it down to low 900$.. :(

I'd like to know myself. Right now you can get $200 off $999 or more, but that's not nearly as good as 30% off. Hmm. I wonder if perhaps calling HP and doing the order over the phone, then inquiring about the discount would make a difference? Perhaps say "well I had this promotion code and it wouldn't work, and I'd like it applied or I won't be ordering". I wonder if you did something like that they'd make an exception and apply the 30%? Anyone think that'd work or know when the 30% will be back?

I'd call em. Well, Dell reps are known to extend expired promos because they are on comission. Never hurts to try.

Don't bother calling Dell... I tried and was very polite and I even had the coupon code and the laptop configured and saved in my cart and I just wanted them to honor the coupon code for me or else I had an HP dv6500t that I was going to buy instead for the same price as what I had configured with their coupon. They said the best they could do is give me 5% off my total invoice. That may help some of you who already are getting the $200 off ... if you can combine that with the 5%. I can send you the information on how to get an extra 5% off. Good luck. ;)'

*oops ... sorry this is for DELL laptop not HP ....please disregard unless someone is looking to buy a dell.

I called HP and they won't apply the 30% coupon since it's expired. So now there's only the $200 coupon. I could snag a dv2500t with 8400m gs and the 2.0 core 2 duo upgrade for $858 shipped, it's just I configured the SAME thing a lil over a week ago and it was like $100 cheaper, and I just can't bring myself to do it. Is the 30% coupon a freak once-in-a-long-time type deal? Or is it monthy? I basically want a 14.1" or small notebook with a dual core mobile processor (amd or intel) that has a dedicated graphics cards. All the models at retail in those sizes are all integrated options. There's a nice gateway at bestbuy.com for $599 this week at 14.1" but it has ati x1270 graphics, which i'm sure wouldn't be nearly as nice as the 8400m gs. Help me please! lol
