*NOTE: this deal has a short shelf life! It's 11/22 10AM EST and they have 3 left in stock. A bit of a controversial product, but for many, a runaway hottest deal of the year - probably even after BF - if this is the product you have salivated for.

Go to this page for an unusually large discount, all be it for a refurbished product, on the Lenovo Thinkpad Helix. This is an 11.6" 1080p IPS, Ivy Bridge i5, 180GB SSD, 4GB RAM convertible/detachable Windows 8 tablet/laptop with Wacom stylus for $848, 65% off an admittedly overpriced list. This was the product everyone was holding off purchases for, the "holy grail" of this form factor, which disappointed many for a few design eccentricities and a massively bloated price. Well, if you take away that last downside - by far the biggest according to 100% of reviewers - you have a powerful piece of kit with a fabulous keyboard and screen, a Wacom stylus digitizer and a very powerful work machine with an alter ego as a video-watching device owing to a phenomenal screen and decent audio - pretty much unheard of in a business class product.

A word about the seller: Blinq.com is a clearance/refurbished/used reseller that offers a 100% unconditional 30 day refund and has, for me at least, been good to its word and offered some amazing discounts on new, open box, refurbished and lightly used products. I have no connection to this company and, as always, caveat emptor, but as compared to a number of eBay sellers (they have a large eBay presence as well as their own commercial web site), these guys are pretty easy to deal with in the event of a problem. Worst case, speak to a manager and problems get solved pretty quickly and sometimes profitably.

Three days later and still says "3 days left" and "Act fast! 2 other people have this in their cart"... sounds like marketing white lies to me. ;)

That being said, retail price for this is still around $1300 so it's not a bad deal.

I bought my Lenovo in June, when it was on "limited sale". Guess what, the same sale is still on to this day.
