    Price is now $34.99 - $20 MIR = $14.99

Still not a bad deal. I have True Image 11, not sure if this is any better.

I have heard so many good things about Acronis, but when I checked out the Amazon page, I found that fully 40% of the 126 reviews gave it a 1 on a scale of 1 to 5. Many of them cited problems it created if you were not thoroughly well versed in the use of the software, which I am not. Any coments?

Glad someone brought this up. I use acronis all the time and it's a great program for cloning hdds. However, the 2010 edition is truely crap and gave me so much issues that it's not even funny. For exp. not being able to detect a secondary external hdd and how sometimes the cloning process would just hang/stall after the first restart. It doesn't seem like the 2010 version can handle hdds with multiple partitions and I have to end up going back with the 2009 version. Bottom line-AVOID THIS DEAL EVEN IF ITS FREE.

Check newegg and amazon user reviews if u want more verification.

I think I will get it, I liked the older version of Acronis and hope to have no problems with this new version.

Gotta wait a week till I get paid though.

For those who are wary about the bugs in the 2010 version, there is a trial version on the acronis website. I'd suggest testing it out yourself to see if the bugs, "bug" you or not.
