No, it's a great deal nevertheless. I'm surprised that it hasn't gotten more press, since it absolutely demolishes the Newegg deal (better processor, 4GB of RAM) at a lower price.

Anyone know how well this performs? I mean I tried playing with in at Micro Center (think it was there) and it seems somewhat laggy to me. Like even more laggy than a netbook.

I purchased this recently but am deciding to return it. The processor is too slow to even run Hulu on standard resolution in full screen. It runs youtube and hulu very well when its non-full screen, regular sized, but when the video is maximized, the video's framerate noticeably drops ever 4-5 seconds which is annoying. Flash is CPU based, so I'm going to pick up a core 2 duo instead. Everything else, however is pretty zippy. At 80% brightness, the battery stated 10.5hours!!! Keyboard is very solid and more stiff than my apple slim aluminum keyboard keys. Speakers aren't that good, but at full volume, the sound does not distort. There is no hiss in the headphone jack (some notebook 3.5mm headphone ports have hiss!!!!).

Another thing I didn't like about the acer (perhaps my unit) is that viewing angle is very hard to find. I have to tilt the screen almost to its maximum (about 45 deg) in order to view the screen without it being washed out.

This laptop is very slim though and for doing basic tasks, this will do very well. Very good battery life, light weight, clean look on the outside, very quiet. Fan keeps the system cool, at no point did I feel the need to take this off my lap unlike my old Powerbook G4 which literally burned my lap after 30 minutes.

Really quick, which one did you buy? The 4810 comes with either the SU9400 processor, SU3500, or SU2700. The gaps in performance between these three are fairly substantial.

I am going to assume he took the 3500 or the 2700 with the 9400 it should not have problems streaming Hulu or Youtube since those are primarily CPU based

I've noticed the same problem with my ASUS laptop lately, so I think it's something that's changed with hulu... not just a computer problem. Full screen frame rates get wonky.
