Needs another 1GB of RAM to be a decent gaming machine but the specifications are very good for the money. See the RAM DEALS thread for the best prices on RAM.

I am currently on this laptop, I got it 2 days ago. It runs pretty well, except about the RAM, I have 2.5GB (3GB total for some reason it isn't reading the other 512mb), the Video card is eating 1GB of that RAM + the dedicated 512mb for video, only left with 1.5GB and Aero running and everything, I am not left with much. If you can figure out how to disable Hypermemory, or control it, it would be much better but I ordered a second 2GB module to cap it at 4GB, which hopefully works. It comes with 2 Partitions sadly, one 70GB, one 40GB, I redid the software so it has only one. Overall, its a very nice laptop, well worth buying, just upgrade the RAM. Also, toss the Norton Internet Security when you get it, it kills the machine.

Actually the video card isn't eating 1GB of your RAM - it can borrow up to 1GB but will not unless needed (which will be rarely/never because the video card already has 512MB of dedicated memory).

I definitely agree that the RAM needs to be upgraded though - and that Norton needs to go. :)
