They have the Asus A8JS for $1,420.99, and after the 7% it comes to
    $1,321.52 and includes free shipping.

It's a shame I just purchased mine off newegg for $1500.

Thats a crap deal even for $1300

1GB Ram, WinXP, no Santa Rosa, only 14in, ok Hard Drive, and everything else is basic.

Only 14 in? Usually you pay more for smaller packages, plus it's high performance in a small notebook, even if the quality kinda meh sometimes. Plus some people prefer XP.

$1300 is a steal considering it retails for ~$1500 just about everywhere else.

The RAM is 1GB x 1, you can get another 1GB off Newegg for less than 40 bucks. 14 inches isn't a con for everyone, the whole concept behind the A8JS is gaming and portability. Also as RoyalScion said, some people prefer XP, me being one of them.

Yea, a Go7700 in a 5.5lb machine is 'basic' he says. XP vs. Vista is a preference thing, so don't bring that into it. Very few Santa Rosa (and even fewer DX10) laptops are shipping currently. The upgrade to 2GB memory is less than $30 (1x1GB stick of Corsair is $27).

This is a very good deal, most other places have it going for above $1400.

Vista is still in its earliest state, once they release some updates it will definitely be the best OS

"once" being the operative word there. It isn't there yet, and once it is, its simple enough to upgrade from XP.
