    Just thought i'd give a heads up on a cheap SSD.

    Thats a 32gb IDE SSD for €108 ex VAT ($168 US). Best price I have personally seen so far. Its an Irish company so for Europeans you won't get screwed by customs shipping in the Eurozone.

    I can see one at 125 Euros which is 2.5" SATA. It's a Transcend MLC SSD which, if I recall correctly, has some issues with performance (or lack thereof). The performance problems may have something to do with the clear-out pricing. There's also a 2.5" PATA one at 108 Euros for anyone who wants to give SSD a try. There's also an ExpressCard version at similar pricing.

    I figured the perfomance would be pretty poor but for fault tolerance at least theres no moving parts.
