    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152175

The egg has these on sale, any quantity of 2 or higher makes the drive only cost $99 w/ FREE shipping.

Thats a super good deal for this much storage. I may grab a pair for my home server project.

Update: Newegg took away the quantity pricing, now when you buy one you will see the option to buy a bundle special, so you have to select the bundle and buy in quantities of 2 instead of being able to get any number higher than 2.

This is a fantastic deal given the price/capacity ratio. However, I've had bad experiences with the 2.5" samsung drives and wonder how reliable are the their 3.5" drives. Anyone care to comment?

Wow, now this is a deal! Thank you so much Vicious! I needed more storage, my 2 TB was running out of room. :)

So tempting, this would make a nice addition to my server.
I keep wanting to buy some drives, but I always end up saying "I'll wait until I'm out of space, rather than at about 90%, then do it"

Boo, if its for your primary computer drive, but most people seeking out 1TB+ of space are looking for a storage drive. In that situation the lower heat/power/noise of a 5400rpm drive is actually desired.

    ^^^
    Truth

I've been looking at those Seagate 5900RPM drives over a 7200 RPM drive.

Hmm shows $199 when I tried it the other day, but maybe I never actually had it in cart, just my wish list.

Dont forget to cut another 2.5% with bing.com cashback if you can pay outright with paypal.

Me personaly its gotta go on a credit card. I know your supposed to be able to use a CC with paypal but for me it seems to take it out of my bank account even if there is nothing there o_O

Update: no workie for me $199 but still no complaints thats a good deal no matter how you slice it :D

You see a $40 discount for the bundle but it still only is being taken away from the original $240.00 price.

wow, thats crazy. you have the devils luck David.

    I see exactly what happened too, yesterday it was setup @ quantity pricing. 1 = $119 2+ = $99

You just add them to the cart and once you had 2+ of them in the cart the price would drop.

Now they took away that quantity pricing I can add 2 of them to the cart without selecting the bundle and its $240, so they added that bundle deal to save $40.

You got your order in right when they made that transaction so you got the $99 quantity price and the $40 bundle discount.

They probably did this to boost sales, now you have to buy in quantity of 2 for the deal, before you could easily order 3 or any odd number and get the $99 price.

Yeah, $160 is (was) an awesome deal for 3TB. Plus, this is perfect timing too... I'm in the process of building a new desktop :D

Yeah, I missed that. I'll wait for the 1.5TBs to come down to the 80-90 dollar range I guess. Congrats on getting that though.
