    hello there.

seriously, tried googling and stuff, no luck.

i have a pretty good internet connection at home (100 mbps).
router - asus WL520 GC, and dell 1390 minicard.

first question, is that router unable to pass more than 40 mbps of traffic? because i cant get him to work faster (cable connection). i can get full 100 mbps if i plug internet cable directly into my laptop.

second - why is my wireless 1390 minicard only using 24 mbps (its actually 22 mbps or so - 2.5 MBps max)? is it the limit of the card/router? drivers 5.30.21. using wpa2 security.

and will my card be able to get full 54 mbps if i get TPLINK Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit Router?

You can get above roughly 20mbps with 802.11g card- you need to upgrade to 802.11n to achieve speeds like that.

You need to upgrade both Wi-Fi card and a router.
If you meant TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit Router- it's a good one.

Broadcom BCM5354 that your Asus uses is too slow to achieve routing throughput of more than roughly 50mbps so you can't get more out of it.
