    wwan connection problem

    i have an NB200 Toshiba netbook with built in wwan, but all of a sudden now when try connect to the internet, it says timeout, i know the sim and isp is fine coz when i put the sim in the usb moderm, the internet works

    any input would be nice

    Have you checked the event logs to see if anything relevant got logged there?

    Under Vista it's part of the computer management functionality, which is part of the administrative tools applet that can be found under the control panel menu. My guess is that it's in the same place for Win7.

    I do not know any thing about your NB, but dies it have a switch/key/button for turning the wireless on/off?

    I don't know if you have access to the antenna but if you do can you check that and make sure they are seated correctly. Also, may be try swapping them around also.

    1. Delete the 3G connection in Network Connections (assuming XP). Reboot and try to reconnect through the WWAN utility.

    2. Uninstall/reinstall the WWAN utility. Look and see if there is a driver/utility update.
