    Intel(r) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B mini PCI Adaptor.

The above PCI card is in the NEC notebook. It only has WEP capabilities cause that's all that's shown.

I want WPA security. I guess i need to keep to the Centrino set. So do I need a new PCI card? Or an upgrade with firmware to get WPA capabilities?

If I need a new card can someone suggest which card?

    What laptop by the way?

You'll probrably need to buy a new PCI card, the 2200(b/g) or the 2915(a/b/g) will fit. Of course, you can also get the Broadcom or Atheros wireless cards as well, more expensive though

if you want to stick with intel, then you only have 2 choices; pick one and go with it.

Hmmm, you'll need an Intel card, yea, if you want the Centrino set.
