Your question is not to clear but for the most part you'd have to log into your Wireless Router to change the Wireless security settings on there.
Your security settings on your computer should match those of the Router.

What brand/model Wireless Router do you have?..and what exactly do you want to do?

Makaveli is absolutely right, your question is not precise enough. You won't get many responses if you don't make clear enough what you're trying to ask.

Usually try connecting to your Router with an ethernet wire and attempt to access the router settings. Then I suppose you can just go over your network security settings and see what needs to be changed and yadda yadda..

Need more info on the question.

What settings are you looking to change, those on the router, or those on the laptop? If on the router, then plug the laptop into one of the wired ethernet ports on the back of the router using an ethernet cable, go to the router's management webpage (usu. something like 192.168.1.1), enter the username and password you set up for accessing the router's configuration settings, and there you go.

If the laptop, you'll need to remember what security settings you set up on the router, such as encryption type, encryption key/passphrase, SSID, and the like, and enter those on the configuration dialog box for that wireless network when it shows up in your network connections.

or you could reset the router and start all over again...thats if you have all the info on the router to log in(the default password/name).

    just a thought
