    im looking for a new router, gonna go wireless this time. need something below 100. i was looking at 802.11g routers but see the draft ns these days. any suggestions? alot will be much appreciated! time is an issue!

    The Linksys WRT54 GL is a good solid router. The other Linksys 11G routers are not worth considering, have 1.2 the ram. The Dlink DGL4300 is a good router too. As for 11n, it's still in beta for another year, so hold off if you can. Unless you like being a beta tester. There are some 11n routers for under a $100. But expect problems. The hard part is confirming that you get a v2 hardware & firmware. If not it may not be upgradeable to the final spec.

    what i'm wondering is. will the upgrade is downloading(i have 5mbps broadband) or just sending files over lan?

    files over lan mate....this wireless N won't Really benefit you in terms of download speed off the net but depending on your house should offer you greater range than G.
