I'm using a D link 'wireless extender', and the ping times I get when connected to it are atrocious (in excess of 600ms). Its the D link DWL G710 Is this normal for wireless extenders? anything I can do?

The reason high gain antennas are a better option than repeaters. You basicly cut your band width to 1/2, plus the extended ping times.

I didn't realize that higher gain antennas could make such a difference :) thanks!
