i just finished formatting my computer, installing all the drivers given (by following the format tutorial given on this forum) and i can't connect to the internet. it says there are no available network adapters. i've downloaded and installed all the drivers for my wireless card. i can't seem to figure out what the problem is. i have a dell e1505 and just installed windows xp media edition. has anyone else had this problem or could someone help me out?
on another note, my screen resolution is also messed up. it will only give me the option of two different sizes, both of which are not pleasing to the eye. anyone know whats up?
    thanks a bunch.

Did you load the chip set drivers for your notebook? With out the chip set it will not find all of the hardware.

Is there a special key combo or programed function keys for turning on the card?

This might sound dumb but have you restarted your computer after the driver installation.

There's no way that after installing the correct chipset, wireless and gpu drivers that it won't work (unless it's damaged).

What makes me say that is due to the fact that you can't change the res to the native one. This means that you installed the drivers but didn't restart.

i did restart several times. i called dell and had them attempt to fix it and they got nowhere after two hours. they told me to reinstall windows again and that my network card and video card are not being recognized or are not recognizing the drivers. grrrrrr. so i reinstalled windows and it is of no help.

make sure you download each and every driver off the dell website unless you absolutely know that windows has already installed a later version.
