try going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1
I cant remember which is the default for linksys, and look at the settings. If it asks for a password and login, its probably "admin" an pw "password" check the owners manual.

192.168.1.1 is the default. keep the plug in and open a IE window and in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1. Then a username and password prompt will pop up. Skip to the password and typ "admin" and it will let you in. After that look for a wireless tab and enable wifi, also look for encryption and use WPA type in a password and you should be done. Also make sure the SSID is something youll recognize when roaming for hotspots at home. When you find yours it will prompt you for a network key and enter the password you made for the wpa encryption.

If you are still not getting internet make sure your router is pulling an IP from the ISP. That will be under another tab in the router interface. just select release and renew.

if the router's firmware wont accept the change then I would call cisco/linksys to see what they have to offer.
