    They need to setup an Ad-Hoc network and then the HP with a Verison Boradband card will share the internet.

    do you have xp or vista?

    There is no reason for them not to be able to share internet. If they have a router then they can connect to the Ethernet ports. If they have wireless card adapters, then they can access the router wirelessly. Any combination will be fine.

    I got you, your brother without the wireless card could wire his laptop to your brother's laptop and have internet that way.

    brother 1 ----(ethernet)----->brother 2 ))))))) WAN

    And brother 2 will have to enable his laptop so brother 1 can access internet through his laptop. Check the appropriate box, see attached pic.

    If you wanna use an ethernet cable to network both computers then follow Wirelessman.

    If you wanna use your notebooks WIFI to share the internet follow surfasb and use Ad-Hoc mode

    (Verizon internet) Brother 1 + Brother 2

    Is that correct?

    "+" is the network between them both using either wired ethernet or WIFI Ad-hoc (no router)

    Setup an 'Ad-Hoc' network which is a computer-to-computer WIFI connection to the other laptop.

    Then enable Internet sharing as wirelessman said above
