    wireless interenet 5 bars + "local only"

    i have vista 32 bit....any suggestions on how to fix this error

    right now @ the library since i can't connect to the interenet

    Try a connection repair? Talk to the library administrator?

    Do you have permission to connect to that network, and do you have the current encryption key for the network?

    yes i have permission been connecting to that "linksys" for weeks....my roomates also having the same issue

    I would review the setup information given to you by the administration. Or they need to update your comp within their while list?

    Then it sounds like its an issue either with the router you're trying to connect to, or with the school's network in general. That would probably be best resolved by checking with the school's IT department.

    At Northwestern, I also had an issue with being local only some of the times, so I found that if I turned off IPv6 and LLTP on Vista in your network connection's configuration/properties, my wireless card always worked. Maybe you could try that.

    it works now...idk what happen...i did not get a chance to change anything....weird???
