I have a linksys wireless n express card. I use this adapter to connect to my linksys wireless wrt 150 router. For some reason, I get different speed on my wireless adapter. If I'm using the built in adapter I'm getting a fixed 54 mbps speed. If I'm using the adapter, I'm getting a speed of 116 mbps and sometimes it drops to 41 mbps. I dont know the cause of this problem. I've talked to several tech support guys from linksys and they have no answer to what's happening. I tried changing the channels and that doesnt help either.

Do you guys have any idea on how to fix this problem?

Make sure you have the latest drives installed in both router and card.

You may need to do a survey to see what other routers/AP are near you. Then you need to select a channel the farthest from them. 11n is real sensitive to interferece like phones. Also depending on distance the speed drops off quickly. On the wireless card you should have advanced properties. In there you will have power settings, set to always max. And there will also be a power management feature too, set to always on max power.
