    Which wireless card is it?

Have you tried updating your BIOS?

Make sure that the network is checked as a trusted network in _Vista, and also make sure that your firewall and antivirus aren't blocking the network.

I have a Dell Latitude D820 (see sig).I have Vista Ult 64 bit and Ubuntu 8.10 running as a dual boot.
I have a Intel Wi-Fi Link 5300 (A/B/G/N) card and it works great in both OS's.
Vista i had to install the newest intel drivers but in Ubuntu the wireless worked as soon as the install was done.
I dont know if it helps or not but where i have no problems with my Intel card, maybe it's a driver problem with your realtek 8187B wireless card....
