    hi all i am new to the forum i am tryin to get both of my laptops to work together so i can see each one of thm one is on a wire ad other one is on wireless.... the wireless one gose in the bed room i have got a router but i dnt knw how to set the laptops up to see each other

    i jst wnt thm all to work together so i can send films frm one to the another

    can anyone HELP me plz

    how do i share folders wiv 2 laptops on the net?


    i have a laptop in front room aswell as the bedroom watchin films on tht one

    You can setup a homegroup in windows 7. This will allow you to share your libraries with any computer connected to the homegroup. Setting up sharing without using a homegroup isn't an easy procedure. I did it a few months ago, but i don't remember all the details.

    i am usein windows xp is tht any gd how do i set up hmoegroup i thought my network place mite of work but it dose nt

    With windows xp, setting up sharing will be more complicated. Homegroups is a windows 7 only feature. This article should help you setup sharing for two windows xp computers: How to use the Simple File Sharing feature to share files in Windows XP. Do take note that streaming video content at HD resolutions take a lot of bandwidth and if you are on a wireless g network, you might lack sufficient bandwidth for 1080p videos. SD videos will stream just fine. windows 7 to Windows xp sharing is more of a nightmare if i recall correctly, hopefully that is not your case.

    both my laptops got xp on thm

    this is the router i am usin but oly got 1 laptop on it
