I've tried searching for this topic without luck.

Here's my situation/question. I have one computer with Windows 7 Home Edition and a netbook with Windows 7 Starter. I've set up my home group. If I open a document on my netbook a. is there a way to add to the document and then b. send the changed document to my main computer? When I try to close the doc on my starter edition I get the message that it's a read only doc. What, if anything, can I do to change the doc and send changes over to my Windows Home Edition?

Thanks in advance for any help.

By default, homegroup only gives read permissions for security reasons. You'll have to go into the folder or file settings to change the permission to include write access.

You could also save the document on something like dropbox and have sync between computers and on the cloud. You could also use windows live mesh to keep the two folders synced without having to change the permission settings.
