    Hi,
I bought my sager np8255-s from Xotic PC in August 2013. I just realized that I've never been able to get bluetooth to work. I know this sounds so stupid but I don't often try to use my bluetooth headphones with it and honestly just never worried about it (I'd just plug in a set of wired headphones while out). I'm running Windows 7 professional.

Recently I wanted to try and stream music from my laptop to my stereo. First I tried Chromecast Audio and it sucked and didn't do what I wanted it to do so I figured I'd try a bluetooth receiver. I bought a little receiver unit that had good reviews on Amazon ( this one) and figured what the hell. Well I got the thing and tested it (it works just fine from my Samsung S6) but for the life of me I can't get it to work on my laptop. And then I had the epiphany that I've never had anything connected via bluetooth to the laptop. Doh!

I did some googling and installed Realtek drivers but they haven't helped (from here). I feel really silly about the whole thing but now that I realized I have a problem I want to fix it. I went to my device manager (pictured) and everything looks fine from there. I also tried to update the driver from the device manager box (by right clicking on the 2 bluetooth radio devices) and found no new updates.

I'd appreciate any advice or help on this matter.

    Thanks!
    Dawn

What's the Wi-Fi card on it? (I'm trying to figure out it BT is separate or is it part of a Wi-Fi card)

@explor3r3 What Realtek Bluetooth device though?
Realtek's BT is rather crap to begin with but maybe a new driver will help somewhat. What BT device is it and what drivers version do you use at present.

Try this driver - it's not really recent but the recent ones are Win 10 only.
As it is your BT is not working at all as evidenced by the yellow exclamation mark.
