I have a lenovo b560 and when i boot up in to windows 7 hp it will say i have limited or no internet access and i have to repair it to allow me online. this also happens in win7 starter on my msi wind u123..... and again on my desktop in windows 7 pro. the d top is hard wired so it has nothing to do with the wireless, i never had this problem on my d-top when i was on xp... i can dual boot into xp on my netbook, the msi wind u123. when i do that i never get this problem so it seems to just be win7 any way to fix this ? it is quite annoying. Thanks a lot

I do not believe it is either of your three computers causing this problem. I do not no of a router setting that would cause this either. But you should post what router, modem and how and who you get your internet through. I would contact your internet provider and see what they have to say about this.

i have time warner cable. so i have a rca cable modem. im using a netgear router and had problems with it i just got a brand new netgear router and im having the same problem.... like i said i have never had this problem on xp on the netbook or the dtop xp... only happens in win 7 so i believe that is where the problem lies.

I guess i could give timewarner a call but they tend to know ABSOLUTELY nothing lol so i dont think that will do much good...

I have been researching your problem. The only posts relating to your problem are about windows XP computers having the same problem. It appears that it could be several things. I have XP Pro, Vista and a windows 7 computer. I have never had this problem. You might try going through Microsoft's email service for tech support. I have had better luck with them than Time Warner in the past. I still do not believe it is the 7 operating system that is your problem. Here is a posting from Tech Republic Q&A: Everytime I have to repair wireless network connection before connecting | TechRepublic

OP first thing I would try is delete the network in question from here:
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Manage Wireless Networks

and set it up again be sure that the security settings on the network match the way the router is configured.

Also are you using the automatically connect option?
If you need security settings advice, let us know.

I reset up the router and used the netgear installation cd to set up the network, it is now using this security WPA2-PSK [AES].

it seems to be working ok for now so ill have to see how it goes, if i still have problems ill contact tw, and try to contact microsoft.
