I have an alph network 500mw usb wireless adapter w. antenna that works fine in hotels and at home in my dell laptop. I want to use my laptop in a sailboat where the marina has wifi but the alpha cable wont reach high enough to clear the other boats. I am way out on the end. So, I bought a yagi mfs1800 with 15ft cable to connect to the alpha usb adapter. Well I get no signal, even at home, when the yagi is screwed into the alpha adapter. I took an ohm meter and found continuity with the center pin and screw on cap for the yagi but i measured no continuity with the little rubber whip on the alpha unit when i put the meter across the center pin and external screw connector. Does this mean i have to connect the yagi some other way? Any suggestions? Thanks
