hey i was wonderin if anyone knew how to make a basic, plain n simple cantenna for increasing wifi range. I know they sell these, but it seems simple enough to make out of a normal can. the reason i ask this was i always wondered if it is possible to make, n recently i saw dan and kevin rose using a home made one on systms (systm.org). It seems basic enough, and can connect to wifi adapters to use right? THanks

I've actually seen this type of an antenna setup on TechTV. They said that it actually works. I think they said they had a few db gain from the original antenna. This mainly connects to the router to get the additional rage, but you need one that has the compatible connectors on the router (removable antennas). I have a router with built-in (non-removable) antennas, so I couldn't even try if I wanted to.
