This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i got a laptop with this wireless configuration (54g™ technology with 125HSM/SpeedBooster™ ) and i wanna know if this would work with a 108mbps wireless router, cuz if it does i would get this router instead of a 54mbps one.

    Your networking card and router must support the same protocol (802.11A, B, or G). You only get "speed booster" when the card and router are made by the same company. A Linksys card with "speed booster" technology must be used with a Linksys router with "speed booster" technology, not a D-Link router with "speed booster" technology.
