I have a nice DLink WBR-1310 that's almost like new. friend of mine who couldn't get it to work properly gave it to me (he can be a lil batty, but who am I to complain. a freebie is a freebie!). anyhow, we bought two of these Acer beasts from Futureshop yesterday with their $799 special. we got the only two our particular location had. I would like to get N speeds between them, if possible as I can see a lot of file transferring happening in the near future once the wireless network is up. :D

Funny, I just picked up the same laptop online (it only had 1 left so I didn't think there'd be any left in store!) and was just going to post the same question.

The website says "Intel 4965 AGN + Antenna".

what draft N is the Intel 4965, WackyT? the first incarnation or the newer one? would it work with the WRT600N or the DGL-4500? the fact you can connect on a/g/n without dropping to the lowest standard is attractive. :)

    I think it's Draft-N Ver. 2, but I'm not positive.

do you know how we'd go about finding out exactly what draft version it is?

edit - well, I pulled up the Intel page with the specs, but I still don't know what spec it may be running. :(

for those of you who may be able to decipher it, here:

edit2 - well, I have found out that it's Draft N v1.06...whatever that means.
    see here:

edit 3 - well, I may have gone off too early...that last link is almost a year old :(
