    hey.

I've been having trouble with my computer. I have a sony vaio laptop with vista home premium. Usually when I leave the computer idle or put it in standby, I return to find the network connection completely turned off (ethernet not wireless). It is no longer there in my list of network connections.

I have unselected the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, but it still happens.

    What can I do?

    thanks

On Wi-Fi something similar happened on my mother's computer - leaving it idle did the same.

    Try updating the drivers.
List your dirver version. (This'll help others)

Ok, yo you are using a Marvell Ethernet driver Version :10.53.2.3

I'll ask a mod to move this to the network forum - I think its better placed in there.
