i have a hp laptop with a built in wireless and was wondering if its poss to use the wireless for an access point for my psp. my laptop is wired to the net threw usb. i tried to ad hoc the laptop but it didnt work. it would say that its waiting for users to connect and has the green bars, but i put the settings to the psp as i did on the laptop but they wouldnt connect.

i have read guides online, but they were for xp and said it would work for vista. im not sure that this will work, just wondering if anyone would think this would work. is there some software i can download to force it to work lol.

Are you putting the security on WEP? the PSP Wii and DS do not use any other type than WEP. (WPA etc... DO NOT WORK!!)

when i set up the conn i put the name as psp set to wep then the code.on the psp i put the name as psp and i think i have the ssid as psp and then wep then enter the code(key) then go threw the rest of the steps.which are automatic or thats wot its says at the end on the psp then you hit save.although i did try and put in the ip addy and dns on the psp that matches my laptop, but that didnt work ither.

but maybe im doing something thats easy, wrong lol

The only thing that needs to be done on the PSP is to find the access point, click it, and enter in the security code, NOTHING else needs to be changed (SSID will have to be the same name as the access point). So dont mess around with IP's etc..
