I know the answer is 42 but I do not know the question...

i am sure no one has asked.....what router should I get? I hope if I give enough usefull information I will get some good advice....

I have a new xps w/ 4965agn nic, the wife has a e1505 w/ a G card and we have a desktop we use has our server. We have charter cable which has decent download speeds. Our main use is getting large multimedia files copied from the server to the laptop to modify then file back when we are done. OUr current router is a belkin Pre-n which is starting to give us issues. It has started dropping wireless often. Usually when the wife puts the wireless under a load. I would like to take advantage of my new N card but w/ the wife's G I will need a dual band router, right? otherwise it will just run in the slowest mode that is connected like I have now, right? What out there will satisfy my needs w/o breaking the bank? would like to keep it under $100 bucks but I realize that my not be possable. Good thing I can write it off...

Thanks for any input in advance. I will be answering any questions or advice.

Since you both do heavy networking, i would get a n router and also get your wife a n card to stick in her laptop.

I believe the wife's e1505 only has a mini pci port and no mini pci express port. I have not found a N card to fit that.

The card for the PCI port will do.
