So i got my new router (linksys 54gx with tripole config) and i wanted to game a bit. So i turn on my lappy, which is 2 rooms over (well only one room is between me and the router) and my connection flucuates between, ooo say, 24 and 54mbps and makes a most inconveniant lag. When i sat sirectly near the router it worked fine. What needs to be done so that i can play BF2 on my bed?

You can try downloading the drivers from intel again...try all 3 drivers on there site. ( www.intel.com) Try also updating the router firmware by going to www.linksys.com and look for Support/Downloads and then Firmware.

If that doesnt work, you can config the router differently by typing 192.168.1.1 like you would type in a web address. Look for changing the channel, and change the channel from 6 to 11.

If that doesn't work, try moving the router if you can.
