    hi all,
I wanted to clean the fans on my laptop so I opened it up. After I had put it back together, I noticed my wifi was slower then before (about half of what it used to be). And in some angles it has better reception then others. I went to check where my wifi on my laptop came from. I found a mini pci card which has two wires connected to it. I assume these are used as antenna's. Is it possible that I broke one of the wires and hereby making the connection only go half as fast as before? Or do the 2 wires work as a closed circuit?

plz help I don't know anything about this. Thanks!

The two wires should be separate antennae. Make sure while disassembling your laptop that they connections didn't get jiggled out of contact. Happened to me on my own laptop. I was wondering why I could only hit 150mbps.

I already checked the connections but they were good. I'll order a pair of antenna's and will try to replace them. Thanks a lot for your help!!

ps: I can only hit 5mbps now :(
