    switch to vista and i lose my wifi

    recently did wat i call flip in the os i rebooted my notebook and upgraded to vista ultimate from home .now when i start the notebook bacu up i get now wifi detection .i dont have a clue what was lost with the reboot process everything is fine with the system. it just wont detect any wireless signal .i needs help :eek:

    Check the wireless adapter in the device manager, verify that is working properly, otherwise you may have to re-install its driver.

    In case you are using WEP/WPA, check if you lost the settings on your adapter.

    If I remember right, my laptop needs drivers for the wireless on/off button in addition to card itself, otherwise the wlan antenna cannot be turned back on once turned off :p

    Check your manufacturers website for all drivers and what they contain.
