The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. You don't. People get reprimanded and/or fired for that all the time in secure workplaces. If you can't simply call their personal cell phone, working around IT security policies is going to get you and them in trouble.

Use methods that are in no way linked to the company. Cell phone or wireless broadband. 99.9% of employers can and will monitor usage if their policies say "not for personal use"

The reason they are restricted is so that you DON'T.
You are there to work, not chat.
