Okay. Sorry to start a new thread but my problem is pretty hard to define or search for (not that I didn't try).

In a nutshell, on the same network, some computers are getting internet and some aren't.

    Factors

-Internet provider is easynet (or ukonline) with their supreme package: DL at 16000kbps and UL at 756kbps

    -Router is a netgear

-One vista ultimate 32 pc connects via wireless consistently to both internet and network (obviously)

-One vista ultimate 32 pc connects via wireless consistently to the network but connects to the internet through that same network only sporadically

-One xp pro pc connects via cat5 to router and yet has the same problem as described above.

-One xp home pc connects via wireless and again, the same problem as above (sporadic internet, consistent network).

I've tried moving the laptops around, connecting them with cat5s, and restarting the router both through software and just the wall plug, and still no cigar (although my attempts to fix the issue pretty much demonstrate my noobness in networking).

So yeah, what the hell is going on!? Please help a lowly network noob 8)

What securities do you have on the router? Have you tried using a different router?

No wep key and the like, i've set up an access list for the wireless (Just the 3 wireless PCs, ooh, and a 360 that's working fine wirelessly). Um, routerwise, i have a new one coming in 5 days, but that's a long time in internetlessness (aka hell) for a possible solution. Wierdly also, the router is also sporadically (word a day feed ;) ) denying authorisation to enter the software in any browser :S. So right now its hard to check any firewall style securities.

Btw, thanks for the quick reply.
