I bought my laptop about 2 yrs ago and from the very beginning I have fought with my wireless conection. I have a LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter in the computer and have had 2 different routers. For some reason my wireless card on my computer wont connect all the time its very picky. I can be right next to the router and still it will say limited or no connectivity or it wont even see my router at all then sometimes it will connect but where it should be reading "very good" on the strength it reads "excellent" and will be slow as hell. I will have to repair it like 10 times or more and restart my computer and then maybe it will connect. I had to reformat my computer and thought maybe it will finally work for once well it did for 1 week then after that I had a worse time trying to connect then before. So I thought hmm maybe updating my wireless card might work so I did that and for 1 week again it worked without problem then it died again and just wouldnt connect but maybe after an hour of repairing it again and again. I have other things connected to my router and they work fine it just seems to be my sony laptop that give me the problem. Can anyone help me at all?

Have you tries Windows Update. They may have a fix, or it may be the cause of the problem itself. Also, try to install the lastest drivers for the wireless card. Hope this helps.
