hi, i was wondering if you guys could help me out with an internet issue i am having with my laptop.

my internet speed is extremely slow while at home when other computers are on but improves significantly when my laptop is the only one running in the house. my computer is the only one that experiences lag when others are on and the other computers run fine in both situations.

in public places such as school or starbucks or even at a friends house, my computer runs fine according to their internet speeds.

this is a problem for me because this only happens at home, where i spend most of my time. any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks so much in advance!

I would try plugging the computer using an ethernet cable to access Internet and check what your speeds are then, that will help pinpoint the issue.

Also, how far away from the router are you and also make sure that the power setting for your wireless adapter is set to maximum performance.
