i have a lot of people using the internet at the same time and that when internet is the slowest. i have 3 using laptops and 1 desktop. it seems like the internet is slowest when someone is watching movies like "youtube". but even that, my internet is still slow.
i currently have sbc dsl, for faster internet service, should i just get a better router or get comcast?
how much can a quality router help with the speed for the internet?
i tested my internet speed at speedtest.net (download-529 kb/s)(upload-321 kb/s) i have no idea what they mean, i hope they can help you help me.

. How is the set up at the moment? Wireless? Cabled? or both?

. What is your router model? Firmware uptodate?

. Your comps - XP, Vista, Linux, combination?

    cheers ...

If you can't get a faster speed (1.5Mbps or faster) then I would go with Comcast.

I have that "fastest" package they have. And you have the slowest package they have...upgrade to the better one and you will have faster internet with only making a phone call.
