I just flashed my linksys WRT54GL router with DD-WRT SP2 v23. I am told that in order to play multiplayer games, I need to setup QoS in the web management GUI. Does anyone know how to do this and what should the settings be. I normally play WoW and Battlefield

    thanks for your help

Quality of Service (QoS) is not needed to play multiplayer games. basically what it does is makes sure you have enough bandwidth (which you specify) for any desired application, in your case Battlefield and WoW. It is really only needed if your router is being used heavily.

This guide should help you set it up

This is also useful for restricting bandwidth from those annoying roommates who are hogging all your bandwidth with itunes, wow, ect... :D

QoS doesnt run very well on DD-WRT IMO because the routers that support DD-WRT are all rather old. You dont need really it to play to begin with.
