Wtf my current notebook, didn't have to do that. Just plugged it in. Got interweb.

Now new notebook says no connectivity. Repair didn't work, couldnt renew ip address said contact administrator, but works on this notebook fine.

Do I have to create location profile? Can't figure out what to do w/that page.

Man Ive done everything in the help and support center "to repair a LAN or high sped internet connection," then something similar in thinkvantage access connections troubleshooting.

Keeps saying no connectivity for one notebook, then works fine on this one.

    Any ideas?

Why would my internet work with one notebook and not the other. Same brands, same xp.

    So weird.

Some of this computer's network hardware is still disconnected. Before you can continue, you must either plug in or otherwise connect all of your hardware, or select "Ignore disconnected hardware."

I tried selecting "ignoring...", still nothing. What could not be connected? The card that that comes up with the connection option that says limited connectivity says working properly. What else?

Every troubleshoting guide leads me back to "contact your network administrator". But nothing is wrong with the signal, 100% sure, or else I couldn't be posting this right now on my old notebook through the same connection.
