hi,im looking for a new cable router(not adsl).
ive been googling away over the weekend but now its driving me crazy.
it needs to be draft N and with usb conectivaty to my printer that sits nearby.im happy with the printer but its not a wifi one,nor does it have network capabilities, only usb.
at the moment i have a netgear b and g with mimo.it as great reception but the net connection keeps dropping out intermitantly and i have to unplug the thing to get it going again, you can imagine how frustrating this is.
any help and advice apreciated. budget £50 to £100.
    thanks,driffty

There's no difference between a ADSL router and a Cable router. In fact, there's no such thing. They're all called router.

Anyways, Dlink DIR-855 is a good router with usb port on the back.

I cannot attest to the USP print functionality as my printer is wireless. However, the DIR-855 is a good router. I have never had it drop connection and the simultaneous dual band function is great, especially if you have some devices that aren't N capable. The range isn't quite as good as my old wrt310n, but I wanted the dual band capability.

Also, the DIR-825 supports USP printing, but is not simultaneous dual band; only 2.4 or 5.0Ghz at any given time. The 825 is significantly cheaper than the 855.

I heard good things about the Apple Airport Express. Works with both PC and Mac.

I just got the Dlink DIR-825 and its been great so far. Now just have to figure out how to get the printer working through the USB port.

The difference between a cable and an adsl setup is the modem. The cable ISP should provide you with a cable modem, which you then hook up to whatever the hell router you want.
